[...] Carol Phillips is the President of her consulting firm, Brand Amplitude, LLC, adjunct professor of Marketing at The University of Notre Dame and all around awesome woman for trying to get into our heads and see what makes our generation tick. She recently wrote a blog post on her website about how millennial woman (Gen Y) are so interactive in social media and web content creation that our recommendations/trendspotting efforts/opinions actually have a disproportionate amount of clout in the blogosphere. One study by MRI actually says the Gen Y women even produce web content at a rate double the average!! Go us! Check out that post at Millennial Women Disproportionately Influential.
Thanks for the shoutout! I am indeed a Millennial. Also FYI, the founder of the Nonprofit Millennial Blogging Alliance is Allison Jones http://entrylevelliving.wordpress.com

I love that Gen-Y women are so likely to be creators. It feels like our character traits suit that really well.

Also, thank you so much for including me on this list, I'm honored by the mention!

Carol, Thank you so much for including me on your list! As we already know, women in general already have much of the buying power & influence in every industry. Take that and combine it with a generation that makes just as much, if not more than our male counterparts = powerhouse consumers. Interesting to read the first stat saying that 92% of us consider ourselves to be leaders in trends. Considering we are "generation me" & no one has told us we are not leaders, it might actually be true. :)

Your blog continues to inspire me, someday I look forward to meeting you!

*shana.
