Jeffry: I totally agree that what you want, when you want and the way you want is the entertainment future, it's one aspect of the Conan/NBC 'crisis' so fascinating. Conan holds all the cards, at least it appears that way now.

"5. Leno is “so Boomer.” Let’s face it, Leno isn’t coo;, he’s the guy your parents watch(ed)." Agree. I never got the appeal of Leno nor his top 10 lists.

The whole notion of TV networks and "time slots" is so arcane, it's ridiculous. In this day and age, why do people have to wait for a show to be "broadcast?" Why aren't shows available for purchase/download the very second episodes are finished?

There is no need for TV channels anymore.
There is no need for TV networks anymore.
There is no need for TV time slots anymore.

Very soon, you will be able to watch what you want, when you want. TV will be 100% on-demand, and our personal lives will no longer have to be dominated by the schedules set by a handful of crusty, out-of-touch TV execs in NY. (And no, Hulu is probably not the answer.)

Thanks, Tyler. I hear Conan was 'on fire' last night, but I haven't seen it yet. This will get more interesting before it's over.
