		<description>I think the trend of Millennials being minimalists goes beyond the recession.  There a few other traits that are often associated to Millennials that also go a long way in explaining it: being eco-conscious, and prizing experiences more than goods.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;As for the challenge to marketers, the solution is simple: change the focus from selling tons of generic goods, to selling a few high quality ones.  Minimalists (not just millennials) have less stuff, but the stuff they do have is quality. The trap here is that quality isn&#039;t necessarily the same as luxury. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I will pay 2x as much for a Macbook over a Dell, because I think it&#039;s of higher quality. I will not pay 2x as much for a pair of Diesel jeans over a pair of Levi&#039;s.  Then again, I also won&#039;t pay 2x less for a pair of Old Navy jeans that will last 3 washes.</description>
